Minor Changes

This thread will be for all minor changes that affect the server. This thread will be constantly posted in and maintained by the Administrator team.
Any major changes will be posted in another thread and/or in the announcements channel on the server discord.

Towny:
  • Nations can now have the ability to be open just like towns by doing /n toggle open. Towns can join open nations by doing /n join [nation].
  • Upkeep/taxes should now be collected closer to the towny new day (12 PM MST)
Marriage:
  • Improved the safety checks of teleporting to your partner
  • Priests can marry themselves to other players.
Horses:
  • Claiming a horse is now only 500 and not 10k.
NPC Shop:
  • Bamboo sell price has been reduced to 20 bamboo for 1 gold. This is to account for the growth speed ratio between sugar cane and bamboo (which were originally the same price).

Game Mechanics:
  • All worlds have been switched to hard mode difficulty.
  • Mob rates has changed. It now is similar to single-player gameplay where mob rates will be individually per player.

  • Lecterns are now protected

Game Mechanics:
  • Change in tamable animal behaviour:
    - Tamable animals (cats, wolves, and parrots) that are not sitting/leashed will now teleport to you if they are 30 blocks away from you.
    - Tamable animals that are not sitting/leashed will now teleport wherever you teleport to.

Towny:
  • Added town tax for towns with more claimed plots than they are supposed to have. Towns that have claimed more townblocks than available will be charged 2 gold per over-claimed plot from their town bank.
  • When you create a new town, you will get a TIP message reminding you to deposit gold into your town bank!
mcMMO:
  • Fixed issue where parties would contain duplicate party members
Name Updater:
  • Fixed issue where name changes weren't being updated properly...
Towny Wars:
  • You can now get town blocks for your nation from winning wars!
  • You can now lose town blocks for your nation from losing wars!
  • Starting a war now costs 2000 and winning the war will now reward you with 7000
  • Winning a war will grant your nation 10 extra town blocks and will also take away 10 town blocks from the losing nation.
  • If a nation has lost more than 40 town blocks, it cannot lose any more town blocks from further wars. However, you can always win wars to gain back those town blocks.
  • Of course, if your nation has less than 40 town blocks, you cannot lose town blocks you don't have.
  • Fixed revenge feature.
Game Mechanics:
  • Tamable entities will again teleport properly
  • Farms dependent on block update ticks won't work (zero tick farms)

Towny:
  • Switch and destroy permissions now show up correctly for /t
Towny Wars:
  • Fixed a bug where wars weren't persisting through restarts
  • Fixed a bug where the scoreboard would show two kill lines after a restart
  • Fixed a bug where when allies in the war deleted their nation, they would still show up on the scoreboard
  • Fixed a bug where ally names where showing up weirdly formatted on the scoreboard
Discord Bot:
  • Fixed a bug where towns leaving the nation wouldn't remove the players from the nation discord channels
  • All nation channels have been cleared of players not within the nation (besides Admins)
NPC Shops:
  • Sell all amount of a single item by clicking your pick-block button while in the sell inventory (instead of right/left clicking on the item, press your pick-block button). If you don't know what your pick-block button is, check options -> controls -> pick block. It is usually default assigned to your middle-click.

Creative Server
Duels:
  • Introducing Team Deathmatch! Currently, the only arena available is a randomly assigned 2v2 arena. It's still very fun and can be great for playing with your friends!
  • Fixed bug where you would get stuck in survival after a match
  • Fixed issue where spectators could get into the arenas
  • Fixed hunger not being taken away in arenas.

Towny Chat:
  • Nation Ally Chat is back! If you don't remember, a long long time ago we used to have a nation ally chat where you could talk to the allies of your nation. It was removed for reasons forgotten, but it's back as it is officially part of Towny now! Just use /nac to talk in it like any other towny chat.
RPGHorse:
  • "Yeah, I'm gonna take my horse to the old town road...I'm gonna ride 'til I can't no more."
  • This plugin has received a major internal overhaul. It should be a lot more stable than before with a few new cool features.
  • Fixed a bug where horses disappeared on restarts.
  • Added a horse leveling system:
    • Need for Speed: You can level up the speed of your horse simply by riding it.
    • Jumpin' for the sky: Increase your horse's jump strength by continuously jumping with it.
    • What doesn't kill you makes you stronger: Increase your horse's health by taking damage while riding it.
  • You can view your horse's stats by doing /rh stats [horse id]
  • The wiki page has more information about leveling perks.

RPGHorse:
  • Smarter stable detection: when you get off your horse, the plugin will now detect how far away you are from your set stable and change the horse's stable status based on that.

Game Mechanics:

  • TNT Duping does not work anymore
  • Eating should remain consistent even if the server is lagging.

Towny Chat:
  • Hearts are now back so you can flex off your marriage. Your partner will be hoverable over the hearts
  • Nation Tags! Kings/Princes/Princesses have the ability to set a nation tag (up to 4 letters) that will show up in chat. If your nation has a tag, the full nation name will be hoverable over the tag, otherwise if your nation does not have a tag, then the nation name is hoverable over the town name. You can do /n set tag to set the nation tag.

Towny:
  • Towns are no longer default public.

Dynmap:
  • Players are no longer default visible on the dynmap.

TradeShop:
  • Good news, you can now ditch wattpad and sell your written books in your tradeshop!
  • Buying/Selling messages are formatted a little better
  • Fixed not being able to place a chest next to another tradeshop.
Player Warps:
  • Fixed a message bug where toggling your playerwarp would always say toggled to private.
/info:
  • Fixed link to the donator shop. Feel free to $$$ more easily now
  • Added a /info eggs page that lists what mobs are catchable by eggs. Although I still prefer the good ol' fashion method of running and throwing eggs at things anyway.
  • /info map now informs you of /dynmap hide and /dynmap show
  • /info money tells you the money denominations.
  • For your QoL lovers, the main /info page is now alphabetized.

  • Ender-pearls are now given back to you if you can't use them in foreign towns
  • Players cannot teleport out of jails anymore
  • No god/fly properly enforced in outlawed towns

  • Mass-selling (pick-block button) heads should now work properly
KingdomWars:
  • Leaderboard no longer changed when wars end in a truce or if the declaring nation ends the war.
  • Lose amount is now 10,000 gold like it was supposed to be

Dynmap:

Showcase:
  • Scoped Showcasing: Showcase only to members of your town, nation, nation allies, or party!
    • To use scoped showcasing, just do /sc town, /sc nation, /sc nationally, /sc party. You can also use shorthand and do /sc t for showcasing to town.
Creative Server:
  • The creative server is updated to 1.15.2!

  • Outlaw jail cooldown. There is now a 2 min cooldown before you can be jailed as an outlaw after your have recently been freed from jail (from dying as an outlaw).
  • Added appropriate tab completion for plot builders.
Kingdom Wars:
  • Fixed the wrong message that would appear when a declaring nation would end a war.

  • Updated to latest Towny 0.96.0. Changelog can be found here.
  • Fixed a bug where titles/surnames would have extra spaces. Inadvertently introduced a new bug where titles and surnames have extra spaces in resident display and plot display (thx towny). If your title/surname is missing a space in chat, just reset it.
KingdomWars:
  • Fixed a bug where switching the town mayor of the capital town during war would still allow the nation leader to change.
mcMMO:
  • Updated to latest version. Changelog can be found here.
  • This version did disable grinding endermen farms for xp. We will have a server vote in #suggestions (discord) on whether to re-enable endermen farms.

  • Fixed incorrect spacing between surnames/titles.
mcMMO:
  • Re-enabled gaining mcMMO XP from endermen farms (specifically endermen farms that targeted endermites).
Gameplay:
  • Hopefully reduced some of that nasty chunk loading lag that was present in the recent couple of days.

Chairs:
  • Can now sit on red nether brick stairs.
Gameplay:
  • Slowed down hopper transfer rate to 1.25 items per second (was previously 2.5 items per second).
  • Villagers will now only be ticked if you are close to them.
  • Reduced spawn limits: less wild mob spawns in the wilderness.
  • Reduced entity tick range: have to be a little closer to mobs for them to tick (move).

TreasureHunter:
  • Some incorrect item names/lore should be fixed.
  • Chunk load distance has been decreased while hunting the chest. While hunting the chest you will only be able to see/load two chunks around you. This is to decrease the amount of chunk load lag while treasure hunting.
Gameplay:
  • Fixed issues with items that had a consume time (e.g. bows, tridents, food, etc). Lag compensation will now only apply to food, potions, and milk buckets.
  • Slightly optimized villagers.

  • Fixed issue where you couldn't place gold blocks on top of gold blocks (nor iron blocks on top of iron blocks)

  • Reverted back to previous jobs version as latest version had major bugs (including not giving money for some jobs)
